Hi, everyone—

This month, I'd like to feature the flagship title of author Emma Right: Keeper of Reign. It's a YA/MG adventure fantasy for readers age 10 and up. Below is a Q & A that will better acquaint you with Emma and her work. I urge you to download the Kindle version of her book, which is $.99 until August 16.

Some thoughts:
I thought I'd share about what the hardest part of writing Keeper of Reign was. As a homeschool mother of five, with kids with me the entire day, and a husband who travels a lot, the greatest challenge was trying to get at least a ten minute block of time without being interrupted by some comment, or 'Help! Mommy! The cat's scaring the dog!" or "Where is…" or a loud crash coming from somewhere, or a fight between the cat and the bunny…the list continues.

In all this, I had to remind myself that much as I enjoy writing, my kids always come before my book. But some days I struggled to remember that. I share this because I know there are many moms out there who might have this struggle and because the work of a mom seem endless (and sometimes mundane,) but our real gems are the children. We need to remind ourselves, and each other this. They are truly God's gift to us.

Why did I write Keeper of Reign:
I wanted to write an allegorical fantasy about the fall of man and the redemption story set in a fantasy setting that's filled with danger and adventure. Something young readers can enjoy but still have a Christian message.

What I hope Keeper of Reign accomplishes:
I hope my readers can see that with the power of the gospel, we can overcome our problems and difficulties. I want to empower young readers with this message, that if they seek the truth (the Ancient Books, in Keeper of Reign) they will find wisdom and answers to life's problems. It doesn't mean the answers are going to come easy, but persistence will pay off, and the BIble has the answers.

Who is my favorite character in your book and why?
Probably Jules Blaze, the sixteen-year-old protagonist. He tries so hard to make a difference but he has to face so many obstacles and as a youngster he doesn't see the value of family and a safe home until these things were all lost. It was a lesson he had to learn, to gain wisdom and re-learn what was most important to him--his family and his Kingdom. He faced many conflicted decisions, but through perseverance and some smart moves he realized the importance of the Ancient Books and that he had it within him to overcome Whisperer, the main villain in Book 1.

Author Bio:
Emma Right is a happy wife and homeschool mother of five living in the Pacific West Coast of the USA. Besides running a busy home, and looking after their five pets, which includes two cats, two bunnies and a Long-haired dachshund, she also writes stories for her children. She loves the Lord and His Word deeply, and when she doesn't have her nose in a book, she is telling her kids to get theirs in one.
Right worked as a copywriter for two major advertising agencies and won several awards, including the prestigious Clio Award for her ads, before she settled down to have children.

Book Summary:
Books written in blood. Most are lost, their Keepers with them. A curse that befell a people. A Kingdom with no King. Life couldn’t get more harrowing for the Elfies, a blend of Elves and Fairies. Or for sixteen-year-old Jules Blaze. Or could it?
For Jules, the heir of a Keeper, no less, suspects his family hides a forgotten secret. It was bad enough that his people, the Elfies of Reign, triggered a curse which reduced the entire inhabitants to a mere inch centuries ago. All because of one Keeper who failed his purpose. Even the King’s Ancient Books, did not help ward off that anathema.
Now, Gehzurolle, the evil lord, and his armies of Scorpents, seem bent on destroying Jules and his family. Why? Gehzurolle’s agents hunt for Jules as he journeys into enemy land to find the truth. Truth that could save him and his family, and possibly even reverse the age-long curse. Provided Jules doesn't get himself killed first.

Greetings from Lucambra! You haven't heard much from me lately because I've been re-creating my website from scratch. It's gorgeous! Now I'm the "master of my own HTML." It took me three months working in my spare time. The URL has not changed: http://www.greencloaks.com/. I've added some new features, including a multi-media page with lots of griffin links on it. I have also reduced my prices!

For those of you who are looking forward to my next title, I have created a tab on my website where I will be posting up-to-date information on my newest series, "The Creation Seekers" series.

Stay tuned!
